Before Lily and Harry got married in Shropshire we went for a wander in Dulwich Park. It was fun to get some nice relaxed portraits of the two of them. I heard all about their plans for the day and got to know them a bit better. They met at Uni and had been together since first year. They couldn’t wait to be husband and wife.
On a wedding day I usually don’t do much direction as I want couples to be as much themselves as possible. I want to create an environment where they can have some real moments together and I can just capture them. It’s a little harder to do on a pre-wedding shoot as they are very aware of my presence.
I still like to step back and let you guys be yourself but I may let you know if there’s some nice light to stand in, or if one spot is nicer than the other. Or if I want you to empty an umbrella of autumn leaves over your head…
If you want to see these guys on their big day itself check out their wedding by clinking here.

“Lucy’s creative talent & enthusiasm was so obvious when we met her for the first time; we felt completely confident about her photographing our wedding. On the day, our guests commented on how lovely Lucy was as she subtly bounced around capturing so many clever shots. Our day was very colourful and the way she captured this was beyond my expectations…just perfect. She worked her socks off for us, and we couldn’t be more grateful.” VIEW GALLERY
