Zoe and Fernando were two of the loveliest people I’ve met. They weren’t that confident in front of a camera so a couple of months before their wedding we met on Wimbledon Common to have a bit of a practice. It was great to have the opportunity to get to know them a bit before the day itself. I felt a lot less like a random stranger when It came to sharing and capturing the day. It was also really good for them, I could tell they were a lot less daunted by the portrait part of the day images.
They got married in a place called Lewes down on the coast near Brighton, It was a lovely little village and I got to have a little explore in the morning. They got married at Lewes Town Hall with just their close family there, which was really lovely, as everyone felt really close and a part of it.
We then went off to a nice little park/garden to have some group photographs and a few of the couple before heading back to The Shelleys Hotel. The hotel had some lovely grounds as well. They didn’t have a big sit-own meal preferring to set loads of lovely food out and have their guests sit all over the place. It had a really nice mingley vibe that was great to photograph as I could just mill about finding nice moments and chat to lovely guests.

“Lucy’s creative talent & enthusiasm was so obvious when we met her for the first time; we felt completely confident about her photographing our wedding. On the day, our guests commented on how lovely Lucy was as she subtly bounced around capturing so many clever shots. Our day was very colourful and the way she captured this was beyond my expectations…just perfect. She worked her socks off for us, and we couldn’t be more grateful.” VIEW GALLERY
