Ben and Rebecca got married in The Old Library at Dulwich College in the Village. It’s a lovely little room set in the beautiful grounds of the college. Ben’s family had arrived down from Leicester all together in a coach like a bunch of football fans following their team on the road! Here to cheer Ben on as he marries the girl of his dream.
Rebecca rocked up to their wedding in a black cab surrounded by all her favourite girls and dressed in a beautiful gown designed and made my her mum. It was absolutely stunning down to the gorgeous hand embroidered details covering the bodice.
They entered into married life by being pelted with leaves and then we wandered over to The Rosendale pub for a hog roast, jazz music and some insanely good cake made my one of their friends. Rebecca didn’t stop smiling for a minute, she had a laugh that was infectious and from all the gorgeous speeches you could tell that she had definitely found the right man. Ben seemed a little dazed throughout, not believe his luck in landing such a lovely lady. Although in his speech he had remembered that while they were at Uni together he had declared that he was going to get her, drunkenly to a roomful of people.
I grabbed them during some gorgeous golden hour light to take a few snaps outside the pub and for them to have a minute to themselves to take it all in. Wedding days are so lovely but they can whiz by in a flash. It’s good to try and slow down and to look around you at all the amazing people in your life that you have brought together and how much love they have for you. I’m told by couples that their days become a bit of a blur until they recieve the photographs and can then re-live the day again and again.
