Emma and Emma got in touch over a year before their big day. We went for a pint at a pub in Camberwell I couldn’t believe my luck. They were both super lovely and when they said they were getting hitched at The Asylum in Camberwell I knew I wanted to be their wedding photographer
I’ve wanted to photograph The Asylum in Camberwell for years! It pops up a lot in wedding blogs with its shabby chic, former chapel interior and is described as a ‘rustic, unique and beautiful setting even on a typical English rainy day’ I couldn’t wait. Two gorgeous brides and one gorgeous setting, it was a wedding photographers dream!
The day didn’t disappoint. The two of them were beaming from start to finish. After their stunning ceremony in the lovely light that filters into the Asylum we all hopped on a bus to Brunswick House in Vauxhall. Brunswick house is a building that looks like one big vintage auction. It is rammed full of quirky bits of furniture and pieces of art, all of which are for sale and have price tags so you can shop while you celebrate.
Emma and Emma had named their tables after Jane Austen novels with the two of them unsurprising sitting at ‘Emma’. They ate surrounded by their friends and family, the speeches were great and the food was tasty with a cake for later that looked like a stack of Jane Austen books which had been intricately made by one of their friends. They danced into the night and I couldn’t be happier for them.
“On the day Lucy slotted in perfectly to the wedding party – she almost felt like an extra guest. And finally, the photos we have from her are gorgeous and really captured the feeling of the day.”
Here are a few of my favourite captures from their incredible day. I hope they allow them to re-live their day for years to come. Enjoy!

“Lucy’s creative talent & enthusiasm was so obvious when we met her for the first time; we felt completely confident about her photographing our wedding. On the day, our guests commented on how lovely Lucy was as she subtly bounced around capturing so many clever shots. Our day was very colourful and the way she captured this was beyond my expectations…just perfect. She worked her socks off for us, and we couldn’t be more grateful.” VIEW GALLERY
