This was a local wedding for me, five minutes down the road at All Saints Church in West Dulwich. The church actually burnt down about 10 years ago, which I could see from my window. The building is therefore half the original thats been cleaned up, but still a bit rough around the edges, and half modern architecture that they’ve beautifully incorporated into the old structure.
All Saints’ rose from the ashes—literally. The church was gutted by a fire in June 2000. With only the towering Victorian walls left standing, the ruined building was open to the sky. But the congregation decided that All Saints should be restored. The church opened again at Easter 2006, its walls and pillars deliberately left showing the scars of the flames.
John and Kelly filled the church with their loved ones and plenty of the congregation. Kelly wore her mothers wedding dress, which brought tears to her dad’s eyes. And her bouquets were a lovely creation by her mum, a mixture of broaches and fabric flowers.
Below are some images from their lovely day.

“Lucy’s creative talent & enthusiasm was so obvious when we met her for the first time; we felt completely confident about her photographing our wedding. On the day, our guests commented on how lovely Lucy was as she subtly bounced around capturing so many clever shots. Our day was very colourful and the way she captured this was beyond my expectations…just perfect. She worked her socks off for us, and we couldn’t be more grateful.” VIEW GALLERY
