The most important skill in wedding photography is spotting and capturing a moment. In order to hone this skill I sometime like to head out with my camera and capture the world around me. I had a lovely day in the summer in London wandering the streets and seeking out moments to document. I was a London lifestyle photographer for the day.
A lot of images you see of weddings centre on all the shots where the photographers presence is obvious. Everyone is looking at the photographer in groups and the couple. Say cheese images. I think the nicer images are the ones where the photographed is clearly oblivious to the lens.
Unguarded moments are the truer representation of a person and their personality. And on a wedding day they’ll remind you of real feelings and thoughts you had at the time. Rather than remembering how awkward you were feeling with a camera in your face.

“Lucy’s creative talent & enthusiasm was so obvious when we met her for the first time; we felt completely confident about her photographing our wedding. On the day, our guests commented on how lovely Lucy was as she subtly bounced around capturing so many clever shots. Our day was very colourful and the way she captured this was beyond my expectations…just perfect. She worked her socks off for us, and we couldn’t be more grateful.” VIEW GALLERY
