Events Photographer London and Oxford // As Maid of honour to my best friend of 15 years I was tasked with coming up with a day to send her off into married life in style. We started that day by dressing her in a wedding dress made from a parachute and a charity shop dress I’d sewn together. In this new get up she was dropped off at the entrance to Dulwich woods with a few friends.
I’d organised a bunch of us to dress up as Zombies and we then chased the non zombies and splattered them in fake blood. the non zombies had to protect a few ribbons of fabric that if caught would mean they were a zombie too. With her white dress suitably covered in mud and paint we headed back to the house where she thought the mess was over… Little did she know we had a mini Holifest planned in the garden. She was led blindfolded into the middle of the garden and the paint flew. The dress was no longer white!
With the dress suitably ruined it was time to eat and drink! No showers allowed! The British weather meant that our refined zombie picnic had to take place indoors but nothing can go wrong when you’re drinking bubbles out of teacups.
It was an amazing day for capturing the peculiar! Hannah the bride has worked in Angels fancy dress shop for the last 7 years but had never attended a fancy dress party! This needed to be rectified! I made a mugshot backdrop so that I could capture some of our zombies after their evil actions.
The rest of the day involved piñatas, showers, and an evening hoedown. I was baisically attempting to pack everything she’s mentioned wanting to do into one awesome day!

“Lucy’s creative talent & enthusiasm was so obvious when we met her for the first time; we felt completely confident about her photographing our wedding. On the day, our guests commented on how lovely Lucy was as she subtly bounced around capturing so many clever shots. Our day was very colourful and the way she captured this was beyond my expectations…just perfect. She worked her socks off for us, and we couldn’t be more grateful.” VIEW GALLERY
