Andy and Katie are the cutest! They met when they were 12! Started going out when they were 13 and then 10 years later I got to photograph them committing to spending the rest of their lives together at the church where they met- Christ Church Abingdon followed by a lovely afternoon and evening at The Westwood Hotel, Oxford.
The wedding ceremony was so full of all their loved ones that they had to have an overfill room, with the wedding projected on the big screen! They’ve collected a lot of loved ones over the years and years of being together. The ceremony was followed by a confetti tunnel and tea and cakes made by the congregation. A friend made them a beautiful three-tiered cake and then everyone headed to the Westwood Hotel to enjoy the rest of the afternoon.
The Westwood hotel is light and airy and the grounds are beautiful. The lawn sweeps down to a woodland area that we got to explore a little to make some nice portraits. There were tearful speeches and choreographed dances and then a band in the evening made up of friends of the couple. Thank you for letting me capture the loveliness.
“Lucy was fantastic from the moment we met her – she was friendly, and made taking pictures a really relaxed and enjoyable experience. We loved all the photos she took, which were a mix of beautifully creative and more traditional wedding photos. Throughout the day she was unobtrusive, capturing so many special moments – lots of our guests commented on how brilliant she was. We’d recommend her 110% – thank you so much Lucy!” (Andy&Katie)

“Lucy’s creative talent & enthusiasm was so obvious when we met her for the first time; we felt completely confident about her photographing our wedding. On the day, our guests commented on how lovely Lucy was as she subtly bounced around capturing so many clever shots. Our day was very colourful and the way she captured this was beyond my expectations…just perfect. She worked her socks off for us, and we couldn’t be more grateful.” VIEW GALLERY
