keeping my online presence up to date and being able to link different venues on my website makes a massive difference to people continuing to find me. Terms & conditions
1) This contract is between Lucy Judson (hereinafter known as the Photographer) and the Clients (named above and hereinafter known as the Couple).

2) These terms & conditions for wedding photography services are effective from the date this contract is completed by the Couple and returned to the Photographer.

3) The Photographer agrees to be in attendance on the date and locations as entered above and to provide the Couple with the photographic package selected above. If this also includes the pre/post-wedding shoot, it is agreed that this will be carried out at a time and location mutually agreed upon by The Couple and the Photographer.

4) The Couple agrees to pay a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the full balance to secure the booking. The couple agrees to pay the full balance owed 1 month prior to the wedding date listed. Additional, post-wedding, products will not be delivered until full payment has been made for those. Payments are taken by Internet Bank Transfer or cash.

5) The Photographer agrees to have completed digital files available for The Couple within 12 weeks of the wedding date. Upon receipt of image files, The Couple accepts all responsibility for archiving and protecting the photographs. The Photographer guarantees backup files will be kept for 2 years but does not permanently archive image files. It is The Couple’s responsibility to make sure that digital files are copied to new media as required. All albums will be delivered within 8 weeks of the Couple signing off on the final design proofs.

6) The Photographer grants the Couple a non-exclusive perpetual personal-use license to print, publish to the worldwide web, and copy the images, subject to the following restrictions. 1) This license is for personal use only. Personal use means non-commercial use of the images for display on personal websites, social networking websites and computers, or for making prints for personal use. The images may not be used in any way whatsoever in which you charge money, collect fees, or receive any form of remuneration. The images may not be used in advertising. The images may not be resold, relicensed, or sub-licensed. 2) Title and ownership, and all rights now and in the future, of and for the images remain exclusively with the Photographer, who may use the images for advertising or promotional purposes at their discretion unless specifically requested not to do so by the Couple.

7) Images are edited at the photographer’s discretion, and delivered files will not include all images shot. The Photographer reserves the creative right to edit and release only those deemed creditable as professional in quality and within the photographer’s artistic standards. The selection of delivered photographs by The Photographer is final.

8) The Photographer agrees that every effort will be made to provide the highest quality photographic services in the prevailing conditions. However, due to the limited and subjective nature of the event, the Photographer can not be held responsible for requested photographs not taken or missed, lack of coverage resulting from weather conditions, or schedule complications caused by but not limited to, anyone in or at the event, or by the church or location restrictions. The photographer is not responsible for lost photo opportunities due to other cameras or flashes, the lateness of the bride, groom or other principles. The Photographer is not responsible for the lack of coverage due to weather conditions, scheduling complications due to the lateness of individuals, rules and restrictions of venue, or the rendering of decorations of the location.

9) Cancellation: In the event that The Couple cancel the contracted services for wedding photography outlined in this contract at any point before the wedding ceremony takes place, the deposit will be forfeit. If The Couple cancels the contracted services for wedding photography outlined in this contract within 6 months of their wedding date a cancellation fee of 75% of the total balance will be due.

10)Neither party will be liable for delay in performing obligations or for the failure to perform obligations if the delay or failure results from any cause beyond its reasonable control including (but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing) fire, explosion, pandemic, epidemic, industrial dispute (whether involving either party’s employees or contractors or not) and any governmental action (“Force Majeure Event”).

11)If the Photographer cannot perform the Services due to a Force Majeure Event, the Photographer shall return the deposit and any balance paid (minus a reasonable sum to cover admin and communication time), to the Client, but shall have no further liability with respect to the Agreement. This limitation of liability shall also apply in the event that photographic materials are damaged in processing, lost through camera malfunction, lost in the mail, fire or otherwise lost or damaged without fault on the part of the Photographer.

12) All parties please note that by the Couple returning this form and a non-refundable deposit to the Photographer they are entering into a legally binding contract. This contract does not affect their statutory rights.

I’m based in Oxford, but I’ll travel all over the country if you want me to. I love heading down to Cornwall, or up to Yorkshire. I sometimes drag the family and turn it into a family holiday if it’s somewhere particularly picturesque. I also don’t charge any extra.

I always shoot with 2 professional Canon DSLR cameras and a collection of Canon L series lenses. I also have an additional back-up camera just-in-case, and I have a ton of high-quality memory cards and fancy flash guns. And you bet I’m fully insured! I have public indemnity and public liability insurance, and all of my snazzy camera gear is insured too.

I don’t usually visit venues in advance of the wedding as I genuinely feel there isn’t a need. Although I might arrive the night before or check out the venue early on the morning of the wedding. For me, the best photographs are made by going with the flow on the day. Of course I’m happy for you to mention certain locations you’ve got your heart set on though.

If you’d like to get booked in I’ll send over a booking form for you to fill in, and then it’ll be a non-refundable 25% deposit to secure the date. The rest of the balance will be due a month before the wedding day itself.

In 12 years I have never missed a wedding, even when I was 8 months pregnant, although I did rope in some backup in the form of the lovely Ollie Hinds Photography for the last few weddings that year. But, touch wood, if I am incapacitated, I’m part of several groups of top-notch emergency cover photographers and I promise I’ll find you someone great. Or you’ll get a full refund.
