Kim and Arthur got married at my local pub, The Rosendale Pub. A pub in West Dulwich, South London. It’s a really lovely space, elegant, understated and does really tasty food. Kim and Arthur started their ceremony by surprising all their guests with a barbershop quartet singing down the aisle. All the surprised expressions were priceless and I think Kim and Arthur liked that it took some of the focus off the two of them. They were a bit nervous about the camera but they were so caught up in the moment that I managed to get some really nice shots of them becoming man and wife.

They had some really lovely details in their Rosendale pub wedding. They’d asked friends and family to make centrepieces for each of their tables based around aspects of their lives. They had a classic red letterbox for their card table. And they also had some beautiful tiny models made from laser-cut wood. One was a little model of Arthur proposing by a big tree with little details intricately put together.

Kim and her close friends had always enjoyed playing foosball together during their time at sixth form and we spotted one downstairs in the pub. I got them all to leave theirs guests for ten minutes and have a game. It was great fun watching the competitiveness come out and the girls reminiscing about hours spent playing the game together. Kim and Arthur and their guests definitely don’t take themselves too seriously, I captured one of the bridesmaids and her husband jumping up together and kicking their heels and another pulling funny-faced selfies. Kim changed into a beautiful traditional Chinese dress in the evening and they also swapped their uncomfortable footwear for Converse with Mr and Mrs printed on the back.
