Dodmoor House Wedding Photographer
Mark and Clare got married at the gorgeous Dodmoor House in Northampton and I was their lucky wedding photographer. It’s a beautiful rustic venue with its lovely barn and courtyard and large sweeping grounds running down to the canal. It definitely fit in with Mark and Clare’s vision of the day they wanted. Beautiful homemade bunting hung from the trees and throughout the rooms and massive pompoms of tissue paper and lace hung from the dining room. All the little details had been thought through and coordinated, even down to printing the names of wedding party onto doilies to place on the seats that needed to be saved. I heard later in the speeches that Clare had been slaving away for months to get all these details perfect and you could tell.
A decadent high tea was set out for the wedding breakfast, yummy sausage rolls and little sandwiches and filled pastries, followed by cakes and tarts and yummy éclairs. Everyone had a different teacup and flowers sat in lovely lace-covered jars on all of the tables. It was a lovely sight to photograph with all the beautiful details and the guests clearly enjoying themselves.
It was a great venue to photograph, they had the speeches in the lovely courtyard, which was great, I got to wander around inside and out and get really nice pictures of them with reflections in the windows and taken though beautiful greenery, all while standing in the lovely sunshine.
It was a lovely day; I sadly had to scoot off at about 9 to drive up to the peak district for another wedding the day after on a family farm. I’m not sure how I managed this after such a busy day, but Naomi and Ollie’s day was beautiful too.
