This was one of the first outing as a wedding photographer in Northampton. It was also my first wedding ever! I was a bit terrified to say the least. It was actually the day after I hung my Degree show at London College of Communications where I’d studied BA Photography. I was a little knackered and a bit overwhelmed so I’m not sure I’d totally grasped the insane responsibility that is capturing a couple’s wedding. I did at least know Kc and Sam a bit through some friends so I wasn’t a complete strange. I’m not sure whether this would make it better or worse, only time would tell.
The got married in the Marriott hotel in Northampton. They got ready, got married and had the reception all in one place. Since then I’ve photographed weddings that have moved from a hotel to a church to a boat to a park and onto a pub… I’m quite glad that wasn’t my first experience of wedding photography!!
Kc and Sam’s day was beautiful, lovely dress, nice bright orange flowers, beautiful bridesmaids in floaty purple. Here are some of my snaps.

“Lucy’s creative talent & enthusiasm was so obvious when we met her for the first time; we felt completely confident about her photographing our wedding. On the day, our guests commented on how lovely Lucy was as she subtly bounced around capturing so many clever shots. Our day was very colourful and the way she captured this was beyond my expectations…just perfect. She worked her socks off for us, and we couldn’t be more grateful.” VIEW GALLERY
