Oxford based wedding photographer // twenty nineteen Best Of

Well that’s another year of being an Oxford based wedding photographer completed! Thank you so much to all my lovely couples in 2019! I think I say this every year, but I still find it pretty cool that so many lovely people invite me into their lives to capture their big days. I feel so privileged to be entrusted with documenting couples memories and to be able to create something lasting from something so fleeting.

This was my first full year working more in the Oxfordshire area and getting to know some of the beautiful venues around here. I photographed a lovely couple, their gorgeous dog and a Chinese dragon at the crazy grand Eynsham Hall. Tanika and Callum got hitched surrounded by trees in the lovely gardens at Cripps Barn. I also ticked off a few more Oxford Colleges, one being Mansfield College, where the lovely Siobhan and Joe said ‘I do’.

I’ve loved venturing a little further afield as well, down to Devon to Crowcombe Court, even though the drizzle was never ending Jo and James never stopped smiling. And as always I love popping back to my lovely London. Devonshire Terrace was a dream to shoot at with the lovely Cleo and Tom making my job super easy. And Orleans House Gallery was the stunning setting of Sarah and Jamies big day. With an extra cloud of smoke created by a nearby boat on the river Thames which just happened to be on fire :/ adding a bit of extra atmosphere to their portraits.

Anyhoo, here are a few of my favourites from the year. They’re a mixture of big and small, loud and quiet, funny and emotional moments. All sorts of moments make up your wedding day and I think they’re all as important as each other. It’s been so lovely to re-live my last year again, remembering all the nice people I met and even more importantly the nice dogs! I hope you’ve all got your photos up on your walls so you’re reminded of your days all the time.
