Oxford Town Hall Wedding Photographer
I’ve had the privilege of being the wedding photographer at Oxford Town Hall on multiple occasions and it’s always a joy. Oxford Town Hall is a magnificent Victorian wedding venue, offering a versatile range of spaces to fit any couples needs. I’ve shot a couple of gorgeous wedding ceremonies in the courtroom at the Town Hall. With its ornate wood paneling and high ceilings lending an air of tradition and sophistication to your event. The light streams through the high windows and is a dream to photograph. It beautifully highlights guest joyful expressions and gifts everyone a glowing halo, contrasted against the dark tones of the space.

What Oxford Town Hall has to offer as a wedding venue
I photographed a formal yet warm wedding reception in Oxford Town Hall Assembly Room. A couple who got married during covid, when no dancing was allowed at their wedding, decided they needed a re-do. They got everyone back together for a good dance and a bit of cake and The Assembly Room was the perfect setting. I’d previously seen the space lit brightly as a punter at the Oxford Beer festival. But for Catherine and Mark it was dimly lit, and although a vast area, it felt warm, inviting and intimate. I had a lovely time photographing guests having cosy conversations and drinking cocktails. Everyone was formally dressed with a timeless and dignified style. But they all definitely knew how to let their hair down when the band started to play.
Wedding and Events Photography at Oxford Town Hall
Another event I’ve photographed at Oxford Town hall was a live podcast in the Main Hall as part of the Oxford St Audio Podcast Festival. It’s a magnificent space with its high ceilings and period features and I had a lot of fun capturing the event in my photographs. It would be an incredible space for a wedding breakfast, speeches and an epic dance floor. The Fact that Oxford Town Hall offers five very different spaces means you can marry your day together in any which way you like. Moving from one room to the next to fit the different needs of a typical or atypical wedding day.
