Pre-wedding questionnaire

Please use the form below to tell me as much as you can about your day. Ignore everything that you think doesn’t apply, I know every wedding is different. Hopefully you can use it to let me know where everyone will be, and when, and what is going on! The more I know about the day in advance the better!

If I have a comprehensive timeline I can put together my own itinerary and ensure I’m always in the right place at the right time and that your wedding photography coverage is as good as it can be!

Bride/Groom Morning prep (partner 1)

What are your plans in the morning?
please include postcodes and websites if applicable and also any necessary specific directions to find you if needed! Will I be able to park?
Who will be around in the morning (names please), and could you give me the mobile number of at least one of them.
If the wedding is in a city centre I may leave my car at home, in which case will I be able to jump in a taxi with you?

Groom/Bride Morning Prep (Partner 2)

Who are you spending the morning with? and could you give me the mobile number of at least one of them. (the one most likely to have their phone on)

The Marriage Ceremony

If the wedding is in a city centre I’m likely to leave my car at home, and I’ll just travel with you guys if possible.
If your wedding is in a church, there are often strict rules regarding photography – please ask!

The Reception

A bit of a run down of timings would be great
The only time I really stop working during the day is when you sit down to eat. Will you be providing a meal for me at this point, or do I need to sort something out? No worries either way. Just so I know to bring something.
Band name/ first dance song?

Photos

Please list any specific group photo lists you want here. Obviously it is your day, and I will do my best to get all the photos you want, but keep in mind that even with the best ushering in the world it can still take 4-5 minutes to find and arrange a group of people for a photo – so try keep the number of shots small – under 10 is ideal.
It’s usually best to do this after the ceremony and before sitting down for the reception.
It’s often super helpful if you can nominate an usher/friend/bridesmaid etc (or 2!) to help arrange and corral the people for the above photos and to help keep things as smooth and quick as possible on the day. Ideally someone in the bride/grooms party who knows most of the key people and someone happy to shout and organise people! And if you could get them a copy of a list of the images too that would be great. If you could list the ideal candidate here that would be great!
Anything else I might need to know – photos you specifically want? Portrait locations you would like to use? Family politics I might need to be aware of!? Anything at all…

Suppliers information

It is really helpful to find as much out about your suppliers as I can. Please fill in any relevant boxes and leave the ones out that don’t apply to you.
Please include designers, shoe makers, head dresses and anything else relevant.
If you’d like photographs of you invites/ stationary please bring them along.
Are you happy for me to share your wedding photos with your wedding suppliers after the wedding?
After the wedding often florists, dress companies and venues are keen to see the photos. I never send suppliers any photos that you have not already seen as I know you are the first people who should view them!
