Rosie and John had a gorgeous church wedding at Saint Mary the Virgin in Aldermaston. Followed by a lovely relaxing English country wedding at The Old Mill Aldermaston and I was their wedding photographer.
The old Mill in Aldermaston is situated in one of the most picturesque locations in Royal Berkshire. It’s described on the website as being a photographers dream, and they’re not wrong. There’s a big lawn that leads down to the water, which Rosie and John filled with classic lawn games to occupy their guests. We went for a wander before dinner in some gorgeous wild-flower fields. Then later on when the sun was setting we headed off in the other direction. We could have been in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by weeping willows and followed by a family of Canada geese. It was idyllic.
Lucy photographed our wedding in May 2018, and is a wonderful photographer. She has a real skill for taking beautifully natural photos, and for spontaneously capturing some great moments. Because of this her photos really capture how the day felt. She also takes some beautiful posed shots – particularly difficult in our case as neither of us really like having our photo taken. She is also a lovely calm and friendly presence to have on the day.I really can’t recommend Lucy highly enough – I am so glad I booked her when I did, and we will treasure her photos. (Rosie)

“Lucy’s creative talent & enthusiasm was so obvious when we met her for the first time; we felt completely confident about her photographing our wedding. On the day, our guests commented on how lovely Lucy was as she subtly bounced around capturing so many clever shots. Our day was very colourful and the way she captured this was beyond my expectations…just perfect. She worked her socks off for us, and we couldn’t be more grateful.” VIEW GALLERY
