Family Photographer – Oxford

I’m Lucy, a wedding photographer based in Oxford, but I’d love to do a bit more family photography. Especially as some of my past couples are now creating all the new life! A few weeks ago I got to meet and take photographs of the lovely little Aurelie! I’d photographed her lovely parents Louise and Alex getting married a few years back in Worcester at Old Castle Farm so it was really lovely to get to meet their new little addition to the family.

Usually with couples I photograph, I get to be part of a very little snippet of their life story, in the form of documenting their big day. But then we never usually see each other again, so to be able to catch up with this lovely pair and see how married life has been treating them was really great. I just went round to their place and hung out with them for a couple of hours, had a cup of tea and took some nice pictures without any real direction.

I just wanted to capture them really naturally, playing together and having a laugh. Although I did get them to recreate the photograph below from their wedding of them looking like smug, happy meerkats, it’s one of my favourites of them! And now there are three meerkats!
