Lizzie+Simon // Bel and Dragon Wedding Photographer
The Bel and Dragon Wedding Photography
I was thrilled when Lizzie and Simon asked me to be their Bel&Dragon Wedding Photographer, The venue looked so lovely online and didn’t disappoint in person, even though it rained from start to finish… Bel & The Dragon Reading is in a former biscuit factory, it’s located on the waterfront of the Kennet & Avon Canal in the centre of the city. The ceremony took place on a boat that’s moored on stilts on the bank and then the reception took place in the lovingly restored ex-factory room.
You know how there are lots of wedding traditions that everyone does but you’re not quite sure why; Cutting the cake, first dance, and why are the three speeches, the groom, best man and father of the bride? Well these guys after doing a few of the standard things introduced a few of their own. I would love it if they caught on! After the speeches everyone got a party popper. they then had to pop them in order in a race around the room towards the bride and groom. There were squeals and pops and the place was a tip. This was followed by a race of limoncello shots in the same vane. the race got to the bride first! Like a Mexican wave of party poppers and shots! Ace!
Their day was awesome, group shots in the rain, bride and groom M&S Caterpillar cakes, and an old school DJ with actual records! Enjoy their pics below.
