Tanika+Callum // Cripps Barn Wedding Photographer
Cripps Barn // 30/08/2019
This was my first trip to Cripps Barn as a wedding photographer. I’ve heard and seen lots about it and couldn’t wait to have a good nose around. Tanika and Callum lucked out with the weather and were able to have the ceremony outside. I love an outdoor ceremony, it makes me job easier and trickier in equal measure but I’d take it over a dark corner of a barn any day! The sun can sometimes create harsh shadows and the couple usually have to stand under something making them a lot darker than their guests. But this can also add lovely opportunities for shooting through shapes and playing with light and focus. I had a lot of fun in the garden of Cripps!
The couple hung out with their loved ones on the gorgeous decking and wandered around the lovely grounds. It was an emotional day! Tanika and her sister were adopted by their parents, which made for a very loving and tearful speech by the father of the bride. And even the brother/ best man of the groom didn’t make it through his speech without getting teary. Tanika and Callum are quite a quiet pair, but in just spending a tiny bit of time with them I could tell how well they are suited and how much they love each other. I hope you can see that from my photographs of their lovely day.
