Notley Abbey Wedding Photographer

Notley Abbey is a dream venue for any wedding photographer, and I was thrilled Alice and Kyle chose it as theirs. Alice and Kyle got married three years later than planned, with two beautiful twin boys as added wedding guests. The wedding plans were initially delayed due to multiple lockdowns and the uncertainty of Kyles’ family ability to get over from Australia and Italy. But then the third attempt was stymied by Alice falling pregnant with their gorgeous boys, a far more joyous reason to put things on hold for a little while. Finally, in August 2023 they got the whole gang together at Notley Abbey near Long Crendon, on the border of Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, to unite their families. I couldn’t have been more thrilled to have been chosen to be their wedding photographer. I actually went to school with Alice, a little longer ago than I’d care to remember. It was therefore a complete joy to see her happily tying the knot, to meet her boys, and to provide wedding photographs she could treasure forever.

What Notley Abbey has to offer as your wedding venue

Notley Abbey was originally founded in the 12th century by the Earl of Buckingham, Walter Giffard . Over the years its buildings have evolved but there are still hints to its original use. The Monks rectory is one of the main spaces now used for ceremonies. You can get married  in this beautiful barn-like building, surrounded by eight hundred years of history. Stunning floor to ceiling glass windows cast beautiful light onto the honey-coloured stone walls with its grand chandeliers add a touch of romantic sophistication.
